Your First Visit

Your first appointment at Wire Orthodontics is a complimentary consultation, and it is designed to give you a complete picture of your orthodontic situation without any pressure to make a decision on the spot. Whether you are coming in for yourself or bringing a child in for an evaluation, the goal of that first visit is simple: leave with a clear understanding of what your options are, what treatment would involve, and what questions you still want to think through.

When you arrive, you will be welcomed by the same front desk staff you spoke with when you scheduled — not a rotation of faces, but a team that already has your information and is expecting you. From there, Dr. Wire will conduct a thorough clinical examination, which may include diagnostic records such as photographs, a digital scan, and X-rays, depending on what your case requires. These records give Dr. Wire the complete picture he needs to give you an accurate, honest assessment rather than a general overview.

After your records are reviewed, Dr. Wire will sit down with you directly to walk through what he found, explain what he recommends and why, and answer every question you have. If treatment is indicated, he will outline your options, give you a realistic sense of the timeline and investment involved, and let you take whatever time you need before making any decisions. There is no consultation fee, no obligation, and no script designed to move you toward a close.

If you are bringing a child in for their first evaluation, we recommend including them in the conversation as much as is appropriate for their age. Patients who understand what is happening and why tend to be more comfortable with treatment — and that starts at the very first visit.

Financial Info

Wire Orthodontics works to make treatment accessible and straightforward to understand from a financial standpoint. Before treatment begins, our team will walk through your coverage, your out-of-pocket costs, and your payment options clearly — so there are no surprises once care is underway.

Insurance

We are in-network providers for several major insurance plans, which means we have an established fee agreement with those carriers and can typically maximize your benefit with less out-of-pocket cost to you. For patients whose plans are out-of-network, we accept most private insurance and will work directly with your carrier to submit claims and help you get the most out of your benefits. We do not accept Medicaid or state-funded insurance plans.

If you are unsure whether your plan is accepted or how your orthodontic benefit applies, our team is happy to verify your coverage before your consultation so you come in with that information already in hand.

Forms of Payment

We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash, checks, and Apple Pay. For patients with a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account, orthodontic treatment is an eligible expense, and we are glad to work with those funds as part of your payment arrangement.

Payment Plans

Orthodontic treatment is a meaningful investment, and we do not expect patients to manage the full cost upfront. We offer flexible in-house payment plans that spread the cost of treatment over time in a way that works for your budget. Our team will walk through the options with you at your consultation so you can make the financial decision that makes sense for your situation.
